It used to be tradition, at least when I went out dressed as a guy. But nowadays it seems like you have to say you want to split the bill, at least that’s what I see around.
I’m going out with this guy on Sunday and he said, “Baby, I’ll pay for your” and now I don’t know if the right thing to do is to say thank you or if that makes me look like a gold digger.

The person that asks to go on a date pays when its the first time and then later you guys can split the bill It doesnt matter if its the guy or the girl it matters who initiated the idea of wanting to go. that person should pay on the first later y’all can both pay equally - or based on who ordered what if you like that
