Yeah, knowing how to sew sounds nice and all, but how does it help if all the available fabric is slop? Why should I bother to learn how to do it if I can’t find anything to work with? No private citizens in the west buy quality fabric anymore because few people know how to sew due to sewing jobs being outsourced to developing countries. It’s insane, if for whatever reason exploitation of low wage labour stopped people in the west would have to go naked.
I really want to learn how to make my own things but it probably gets really hard fast and most materials are shitty nowadays too
