Like, hypothetically speaking. I’ve dressed promiscuously for work, and done sexual acts for work. So technically, I’m a whore. I am flirted with and catcalled quite often, even though I dress pretty conservatively. (always a comment about my rear. Men!) I am often flirted with on campus, and I don’t know how to respond besides lamely flirting back or accepting a number. It kinda sucks, because I always considered myself a fairly chaste person.

wanting the attention and flaunting to get it maybe. if you get unwanted attention, or do things to survive thats not really the same imo

is it a bad thing? I mean, I don’t like all of the attention. But I like to dress up and feel good about myself. Sometimes I’m lonely, and it makes me feel better when someone flirts with me or calls me cute.

doing stuff for yourself isnt the same either. like dressing in something revealing because you think its cute and like it or whatever.

ultimately no though, its not a bad thing even if you’re doing stuff strictly to attract attention. i just find any excuse to hate myself even if its completely normal and understandable thoughts and behaviors
