bc they see themselves as a woman, at least a tiny bit, they prob look somewhat androgynous and wearing women’s clothes make them look more feminine, some clothes exaggerate sexual dimorphism, like a suit makes your shoulders look boarder and some skirts/dresses gives the impression of wider hips, you get the idea
