Small talk is so awful, it feels like a game that wants to make you fuck up, and i also hate this fake interest so much i gladly talk hours to a person that is actually interested in the stuff we talk about how do people even become friends by small talk
yeah i can literally yap for 8 hours about anything to a friend; yet i cant hold the most banal surface-level convo with a stranger for more than 2 minutes.
Well i hate that as well. It feels pointless if you’re not trying to get to know them or gather information.
i often talk long to people at work, trying to understand and listen to them, regardless what i think about them sometimes i just like to know the person, but it feels like you can learn much about people just by giving them space to talk which can help navigating this world
