Matt Johnson is so talented. I will never not be impressed at how The Dirties got made on a budget of about $1,000. Operation Avalanche was made by that same team and is also very good.
yeah, im planning 2 watch it tmrw. making my way thru all of his work after really liking nirvana the band the webseries, and i think operation avalanche is the last one left (didnt watch most of ntbts tv bc i honestly found it boring and annoying compared to the web one, might try it again tho, as i loved everything else)
Oh if you haven’t watched the tv series you’re missing out. Some of the episodes are hit or miss depending on if you get the movie they’re referencing, but there are some bangers. Matt’s been saying at Q&As that season 3 will be coming out eventually too.
my favorite bits of the webseries were the emotional bits and the flashbacks, and after watching ~5 episodes of the tv show they seem to be either mising or more comedic. Do they return at some point, or is the vibe just different the whole way thru?
Going off memory, I think the tv show has more bits like that overall. Episode 7 the buffet gets really emotional near the end, and is probably my favorite episode of either series.
