the reason why places die is from them being stagnant and toxic, I dont think we should really want to be like 4chan. Like sure its not as moderated as reddit but its not a cesspool of racism and stuff like 4chan

No i agree, some level of change is good and it’s why pushback against the myth of the boards perfection is important.
Although it’s very jarring to see people give bad takes that would never be listened to in tttt adjacent spaces a few years ago.
