it’s very much still sex work. do you know how the whole “selling feet pics” business works? do you think you just upload half assed feet pics into a dropbox and tomorrow you wake up to 500$ in your checking account?

if it were that easy everyone would do it. only top 1% of OF models are this wealthy. for the rest of people, it’s a fierce market and competition to see who charges less for their photos (and by extension, who is more desperate for money) it’s capitalism. it’s a race to the bottom. if you want to make money out of it, you have to invest tons of time and effort into it, get good production equipment and interact with your clients a lot. growing your audience is absolutely vital and pampering to the big spenders or even to potential big spenders will sometimes have you faced with tough calls to make.

“this guy is asking me for a photo that i feel is too risque, and i don’t really feel like doing it. on the other hand, he’s offering 100$ i really need for gas this week”

it’s a job, that’s my point. at the end of the day it’s a job and it’s demanding and you wil 100% get objectified and disrespected through it. some people are best suited mentally to navigate those tricky situations, some other people will just cave and the bar for what you’re comfortable doing for money starts creeping downwards, depending on how your self esteem is doing on a given day (and it will probably get worse once you start feeling ashamed of some stuff you’ve already done)

what i meant to say is, nobody is giving out free money. as the cost of living crisis worsens and young people are faced with an abysmal job market, the sex work industry becomes more and more crowded, and sex workers’ pay overall decreases. it sucks and treating it like a cutesy side hustle that’s nbd further drives more young people to try it, contributing to driving the price of services down even more.

yeah like there’s absolutely nothing wrong with sex work or doing sex work but me personally i could not handle my partner flirting with random disgusting moids online for money. it’s just kinda revolting for me but this is obviously a personal preference. i would work all the extra hours i could to avoid it.
