like this is literally my major. not that an undergraduate degree means much but still. i at least know more about history and historiography than most people who hust watch stupid pop history videos on youtube.

idk if thats better or worse than basing everything off of secondary school classes. probably worse tbh. i hate all those channels so much. just surface level slop with no deeper understanding of the material conditions that led up to and happened because of historical events

    I think my history classes in school were pretty good but that’s also precisely why i know that i don’t really know anything. The teacher was cool too, he spent a lot of his free time reading history books and if someone in our class gave a really bad analysis of some historical event he made fun of them lol

      i would sleep in this one history class in secondary school, icl. but i did so well on tests and stuff that my teacher didnt mind and me and him would just talk since i sat close to his desk
