My take on this: the maga movement. Popularity of right wing political parties in Europe. Hungarian and Slovakian governments. Billionaires are only adding in more fuel to online misinformation.
Either of those things arent what you could describe the current climate tho. Monarchy comes closer but it’s just not close enough
