My take on this: the maga movement. Popularity of right wing political parties in Europe. Hungarian and Slovakian governments. Billionaires are only adding in more fuel to online misinformation.
still, what is happening now is not fascism. there hasnt been a crisis in capital large enough yet to cause the bourgeoisie to bend to state power. trump isnt a fascist. hes more like Andrew Jackson than Mussolini. hes a grifter without any stake in the game besides his own and a member of the bourgeoisie. this is just liberal democracy working as intended right now
