One time when I was like 4 and didn’t really understand the concept of stealing yet I remember I once took this little permanent marker that you could put on like a Keychain cus I thought it was cool and then on the ride home I told my parents about it and they explained what stealing was and I was in tears thinking the police were going to come and arrest me and they made me take it back and hand it back to one of the employees bawling my eyes out.
