I much prefer to socialize in trans-centered, or at least explicitly trans-friendly spaces. There is so much less bullshit to contend with and I don’t feel like I have to be on my guard constantly, so I can relax and just vibe. HOWEVER these types of events and such tend to be heavily female-dominated and sapphic. Which is cool! I’m glad people have their thing.

BUT I need men. It’s just a total bummer that if I socialize with other trannies, they’re usually macking on each other while I awkwardly stand off to the side, but if I socialize with cis people, I have to deal with the absolute scum of the Earth (cis men). Sometimes they give you “the eyes” (if you’ve ever experienced this, you know what I’m talking about), but nothing ever happens beyond that because they’re preoccupied with their own mental hangups and too worried about how they’ll be judged. I still have no idea where I can organically meet men who would openly date a tranny.
