I honestly did not expect for tranistan to actually become a stable platform but I think its gonna live for at least a year. If it survives 3 years, it’ll probably live for a decade or two or even longer. Depends on if 4tran4 newfags migrate to tranistan after a while or it becomes unheard-of on reddit.

Still I kinda expected it to die out quickly but its only growing

    the current 4tran userbase will mostly leave within a couple of years, this site still has the risk of fading into obscurity if we have no way of attracting newfags. on reddit that happens naturally through algorithms and interaction with other subreddits, but this place is completely isolated unless we actively adveritse it

      yeah it will either turn into a fully closed community (esp if the account approval thing will still be in place) or will die in a few months, and in case of the former it’s effectively just a weird kind of discord server and will probably follow roughly the same dynamics as that and thus die out within mere weeks i think

        i’ve compared the vibes of tranistan to a discord server before, i do really think it would die a similar slow death if it got too isolated

      Lots of tranistanians are still on reddit and thats how 4tran4 redditors keep hearing about it so I think theres a chance that it could actually survive. If reddit fully bans 4tran4 this may be the only real 4tran4 community left

        people could definitely keep migrating from 4tran4, but hypothetically if it does get banned, I don’t see this site surviving in the long term. 4tran communities have an especially high user turnover and i just don’t see how that newfag influx would be kept
