hiiii sorry it might be dumb of me to ask here but I figure y’all would know and im kind of permabanned from reddit…

ive been kind of dicking around in community college (in US) for a chem major. I was aiming to go for a bioengineering degree at a 4-yr but honestly i can barely get thru the prereqs bc ADHD + autism + a bunch of other mental illnesses and constant issues w the meds. idk how id do w a high intensity academia-connected degree like bioengineering that might require me to get a postgrad…

so i was thinking abt switching. does anyone know of any careers or degrees that would be a bit easier for a mentally ill tranny? im hoping i can get my meds worked out to hopefully make the adhd better at least but…

i was thinking of doing BMET (biomedical engineering technician) but idk how intense that is, i just heard it had decent pay and good job prospects

wait, wouldn’t endocrinology require me to go to medical school? medical school sounds utterly terrifying

ooh that does sound appealing though… wonder what kind of careers offer that. labwork seems really neat

I would look into it. You’d be surprised how many scientists are kind of just dicking around in the lab late at night for a decent salary. quiet, alone and fun. I’ll look into it for you sometime. Ask around

I just don’t know how well I’d do as a scientist bc academia I’ve heard gets intense and I’d need a postgrad wouldn’t i
