fr I wish more people understood how different migraines are from just a bad headache

I get migraines with aura and hemiplegia and it makes me functionally blind and sometimes unable to walk, like I literally lose the ability to read because of visual disturbances and the headache that always comes after lasts for days

it’s usually triggered by stress too which is a joke by the universe because it always happens when you are the least able to handle it

Thankfully mine aren’t quite that bad, reading is difficult and painful but if I really want to i can do it if I “change the way I see”, can’t really explain it better than that lol

Is it worth it to push through pain and brain weirdness so I can read trendslop and sortfag? Unclear.

that’s a really good way to explain it tbh, I usually just end up going to sleep since it’s so hard to try to do anything and I know the pain is coming

on the bright side hrt has actually reduced them alot I used to get them like 3-4 times a year and now I get them like once every year or two, although idk if thats just because im overall less depressed and stressed out

Yeah in hindsight this “mysterious 3 hour nap” while im not tired was clearly me avoiding the migraine

although idk if thats just because im overall less depressed and stressed out

That would be my bet I think
