It’s on the very outer edge of what technically qualifies as “the city”, it’s SO FAR from fucking everything. You think that would afford me some peace and quiet, right? No! Fucking dickheads use the roads like drag strips, there are dogs barking, car alarms, children shouting, and other random noises all the time, my neighbor plays loud music or has loud conversations until 2am most nights it seems, the laundry room is disgusting, the property “management” acts inconvenienced any time you ask them to do anything (you can only contact them directly through a fucking app btw), there’s every big box store you could think of around here (like who actually gives a fuck), but the grocery store that was across the street closed down, so now I have to drive, which wouldn’t be too big a deal, except parking here is also a disaster and if I leave, I risk someone taking my spot.
UUUUGH. Far enough away from stuff to be inconvenient, not far enough to be truly peaceful. Literally the worst of both worlds. I’m a fucking dumbass.
Oh also it’s super normie here and I feel very out of place and unwelcome. I would leave tomorrow if I had somewhere else to go.

I’d be willing to put up with it if it actually made sense, like if all the chaos meant I lived in closer proximity to stuff and could just walk everywhere, but I can’t do that here, so I’m often left asking, “what’s the point?”
