they all have the divine right to rule from god and have been bred to be more capable over centuries. some of them are inbred idiots like the habsburgs and bourbons but the entire system around them is filled with people who know how it all works and how to keep the system stable. france is in decline and has very little soft power left, but feudalism everywhere else isn’t as unpredictable.

from what i have seen, feudalism seems very stable. and most liberals i see in the paper can talk all day about theory, but don’t have anything like the internal reports that the nobles all over the world have

the certainty that its possible feels kinda like a larp. i don’t see any humbleness in philosophical spaces at all

    “like the Habsburgs”

Charles V existed, why even say the Habsburgs?

I understand your point, it’s just that Charles V was both inbred and one of the greatest emperors of all time

He was basically doomed to fail, there was a 0.1% chance his territories wouldn’t fall apart and he kept them together

He spearheaded the counter-reformation which heavily slowed the spread of Protestantism, and made the lives better for a lot of people in Catholic nations and modernised the church

He had to fight against Prime Ottomans and Prime France at the same time essentially and he held both off reasonably successfully

There was more, but he was like the GOAT and greatest Holy Roman Emperor ever

i know who charles the v is but hes also disconnected from the french revolution by centuries and doesn’t exactly fit here. if i was going to name anyone it should have been louis xvi
