People like al-Husseini had a lot of support for a reason, Islamic Nationalism was a big deal in this period, there’s a reason why so many Middle-Eastern governments have Islamic Nationalist governments today, because the support had been there since after the Ottoman Turks fell apart, it was a catalyst for these beliefs because the Ottoman Turks were a stabilising force in the Middle-East, there is a reason why nations like Britain kept them afloat.
